In September 2017 the Romanian Association for Smart City and Mobility launched the first national programme dedicated to promoting the idea of the smart community in Romania - Caravana Smart City.
The programme was run under the High Patronage of the Government of Romania and the Ministry of Energy, and initially ran for 12 months, in 12 regions of the country.
Eduard Dumitrașcu, ARSC President: "Smart City is a vision, not a product, not a stake and not a political goal. It is a road that will go on beyond us, beyond our generation. How will we leave the communities we live in to those who come after us?"
